ASR announces the promotion of Andy Tompkins to Group Show Director and Dan Moylan to ASR Show Director. Both will be taking on larger roles with the Nielsen-owned ASR brand, starting at next week’s ASR Holiday event.


 


Tompkins role as Group Show Director will include continued oversight of ASR along with the addition of the Interbike and Health and Fitness Business events. His new focus will concentrate on retail buyer outreach, advocacy relationships and strategic brand direction. Tompkins has over a decade of experience in trade event production, sales and management first at Outdoor Retailer and most recently with ASR.


 


“Andy is the ultimate specialty sports trade show professional,” said Joe Flynn, VP of Marketing and Business Development for Nielsen Business Media’s Retail Group, ASR’s parent. “He has a deep understanding of the sports retail and brand landscape, and is constantly striving to produce events that exceed the industry’s business needs.”


 


As ASR Show Director, Moylan will be handling most day-to-day responsibilities for ASR including floorplan layout, exhibitor marketing, along with the direction of sales and show operations. Moylan most recently managed ASR sales and came to ASR from Aaron Chang International where he managed key accounts.
