Lance Armstrong is expected to celebrate the grand opening for his Mellow Johnny bike shop in downtown Austin, Texas Saturday.

The 18,000-square foot store will include locker rooms for commuters, a training facility and a cafe where visitors can sip java and watch mechanics work. It is located in a restored building at the northwest corner of Fourth and Nueces streets.

The store takes its name from Armstrong's French nickname – maillot jaune or yellow jersey – earned during his racing career.

Mellow Johnny's will carry higher-end Trek bikes, which Armstrong rode to his seven consecutive Tour de France victories. The shop will be decorated with memorabilia from his career.

Besides road bikes, Mellow Johnny's will sell commuter bikes, mountain bikes, triathlon bikes, fixed-gear bikes, low-riders, cruiser-style bikes and even hand-made “art bikes” that look as good hanging on a wall as they do rolling down the street. Stock will also include gear by Giro, Dude Girl, Nike and Oakley.

The store will encourage bicycle commuting by offering showers, storage space and a locker room.
