Ignik has released a new product, the FireCan, a portable propane-powered firepit that replaces traditional wood fires for a safer, more contained campfire experience.
“We’ve seen a huge increase in the popularity of firepits in recent years as people look to create that quintessential campfire experience in a more convenient and controlled way,” said Peter Pontano, Ignik’s marketing and product development director. “We created the FireCan to meet that demand with a true plug and play system that puts all the pieces in one place. It’s safe, it’s convenient and it puts out a fraction of the emissions of a traditional wood fire, so it aligns with our mission of combatting climate change through thoughtful product design.”
The FireCan is made of steel with a high-temperature powder coat. Its features include mesh sides that allow for increased heat output; foldable legs that pop out for safe raised storage or fold under for compact storage; includes a hose and adapter to connect to a propane source; pairs with Ignik’s Gas Growler or any standard 5lb or 20lb propane tank.
The FireCan is designed to CSA and UL safety standards and is allowable for use during burn bans when contained propane flame is allowed.
