Gander Mountain will open its newest stores in Wisconsin and Virginia next week.
A nearly 91,000-square-foot store will open at 6199 Metro Drive in the town of Burke, WI on April 22. The is one of the largest of Gander Mountain's 114 stores. The grand opening of the store will begin on April 25.
Gander Moutnain will also open a 66,000-square-foot store at 8195 Gander Way in Roanoke on April 22. The store is the fourth in Virginia, joining others in Fredericksburg, Richmond and Winchester.
The company characterized both stores as examples of the larger format stores it is rolling out. The stores carry a much broader and deeper selection of products for the outdoors enthusiast, including thousands of firearms, equipment for hunting, fishing, and archery, apparel and footwear, camping equipment, and gifts. The store is the 13th in Wisconsin, where Gander Mountain was founded in 1960 as a catalog company.
