Vasque footwear introduced two new styles for SS22 — Torre AT GTX and Torre XT GTX. To date, the Torre is the brand’s “most technical, innovative hiking boot family.”
“We’re proud to introduce the all-new Torre Family into our line,” said Bryce Wernsman, president, Vasque Footwear. “The Torre Family is built to meet the demands of today’s modern hiking consumer by packing an incredible amount of innovation and performance into a lightweight, premium boot specifically designed to deliver out-of-the-box comfort. After years of research and development, we’re thrilled to bring the Torre Family to market for Spring ’22.”
Vasque released these product descriptions:
“Torre XT (Extended Terrain) GTX, is built for adventure – and boasts premium elements, making it a pinnacle of technology and innovation. This beautiful, rugged boot sits atop a lightweight yet rock-solid midsole and a performance-packed outsole. Vibram’s Nanga outsole with Mont rubber compound provides durability in extreme conditions. Vibram’s Litebase technology cuts out the bulk, decreasing the boot’s overall weight by 25 percent. An aggressive heel brake, edging platform at the toe and crampon compatibility make the Torre XT ready for the highest peaks. A molded mesh collar offers unrelenting ankle support for long treks and the Gore-Tex waterproof lining ensures your feet will stay dry on the trail. The Torre XT GTX is the perfect companion for technical long-haul hikes, no matter what terrain you might encounter.
“A modern, lightweight hiking boot, the Torre AT (All Terrain) GTX, is packed with technology. A mesh and rough-out leather upper surrounds the Gore-Tex waterproof lining ensuring breathable comfort and dry feet in any condition. Beneath the foot is a Vibram Wavelength II sole with LiteBase technology and Megagrip compound to yield a fast, lightweight, yet supremely grippy and durable sole. Featured on the Torre AT, Vibram’s new Traction Lug technology utilizes micro lugs within each primary lug to add 50 percent more surface area and increase traction by up to 25 percent. The Torre AT GTX an all-conditions, all-weather, all-around trail must-have for day hikes and backpacking excursions.”
The boots will be available at retail in February 2022.
