Selk’bag added outdoor industry veteran Paul Fish to its Advisory Board. Fish’s four decades of leadership experience aligns with the brand’s corporate responsibility efforts, sustainable growth plans and general business operations.
“2020 was a pivotal year for the company, with exponential sales growth, consolidating our partnership with REI, landing MEC in Canada, and doubling down our commitments to sustainability efforts by converting our entire line to 100 percent post-consumer recycled materials,” said Cristobal Murillo, co-founder and CEO, Selk’bag. “These accomplishments have been partially inspired by Paul’s efforts and now will benefit from his expertise even further. We’re honored to have the depth and caliber of his knowledge to help usher Selk’bag into our next chapter.”
“Selk’bag’s record growth and sustainability initiatives make this exciting time to join the advisory team. I’ve followed the brand for years and admired their enthusiasm for getting people outside in a joyful way,” said Fish. “I’m looking forward to exploring our shared values and friendship to expand the brand’s mission and mantra to help further develop meaningful growth.”
Fish launched Mountain Gear in Spokane, WA in 1983. Under his leadership, the company’s growth was anchored in sustainability. Fish has also served on the board of the Access Fund.
