Road Runner Sports opened its first store in the Washington, D.C. area, continuing its recent expansion into the eastern part of the country. The store in Falls Church, VA, follows recent openings in North Brunswick, NJ; and Columbia, MD. Road Runner Sports, based in San Diego, now has 19 stores across the country.
On the eastern half of the country it also has two stores in Paramus and Shrewsbery in New Jersey. Additionally, it has a store in Columbus, OH, near a distribution center for its direct mail/e-commerce business.
The majority of its stores are California, including a full price store and a clearance store in San Diego and one store each in Concord, Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills, San Carlos, Thousand Oaks, Torrance and a new store in West Hills. It also has two stores in Washington (Kent, Seattle) and one each in Arizona (Tempe), Colorado (Westminster) and Oregon (Tualatin).
