Extreme Group, developer of the Extreme Sports Channel and owner of production and distribution company Debut Sport, said it signed a five-year European licensing deal to create and distribute a range of high quality outdoor sports products and equipment.
The partnership is a natural extension of Extremes licensing strategy and drives Debuts existing portfolio and business to develop a new range of products that tie in with the Extreme lifestyle all targeted at the youth market, the company said.
Products bearing the Extreme brand will cover a wide range of sports including surfing, snowboarding, kite-boarding, skiing, and skate boarding.
“Securing the Extreme license is the next-step for Debut as we already have the design and manufacturing facilities in place to deliver targeted products at the right price point,” said Joe Mogg, Managing Director of Debut. “The market for extreme sports is rapidly expanding, especially among the youth sector. Extreme has developed an incredibly strong brand, collection of companies and a licensing business in this marketplace. Thanks to the Extreme/Debut license, young people will be able to buy products that complement their favourite sports on Extreme TV and enjoy a complete brand experience.”
Extreme will launch the products at ISPO.
