Dick's Sporting Goods signed a five-year agreement to become the title
sponsor for the BolderBoulder race in Colorado. The race will be called
the Dick's Sporting Goods BolderBoulder 10K. The race is 6.2 miles long.
The BolderBoulder is the nation's second-largest road race and takes
place on Memorial Day. It attracts more than 50,000 runners, walkers
and wheelchair racers, and professional racers compete for one of the
largest non-marathon prize purses in the sport.
The 30th BolderBoulder will be held on May 26, 2008. Registration will
begin with a kickoff event at the Broomfield Dick's Sporting Goods
store in March 2008. All Dick's Colorado locations will serve as pickup
locations for BolderBoulder race packets beginning in March. Also, the
BolderBoulder will continue to host the Dick's Sporting Goods Flat Out
5K in May.
