Gap Inc. appointed Asheesh Saksena as its chief growth officer, a newly created position with a focus on ramping up the expansion of Old Navy and Athleta. He joins Gap Inc. in January 2021.
Saksena most recently served as president of Best Buy Health where he led the formation and operation of its diversification into digital health after serving as the company’s chief strategic growth officer. Prior to Best Buy, he led strategy and growth organizations at Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable and as a partner at Accenture.
The company also announced that Sandra Stangl will join Gap Inc. as president and CEO of Banana Republic. Most recently, she co-founded and was the chief merchant of Mine. Past roles include president, Pottery Barn Brands and president, chief merchandising and new business development officer for Restoration Hardware.
