The Wacoal Sports Science Corporation (WSSC), makers of CW-X® Conditioning Wear, have appointed exclusive retailers in Mexico and the United Kingdom, making the brand available in those countries for the first time. Mexico and the U.K. join the brand's existing markets in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Distribution to other countries is planned for the near future.
In the U.K., WSSC will launch CW-X in Snow and Rock Sports Ltd., a U.K. outdoor specialty chain with 15 stores and a strong Web and catalog business. The agreement is for a one-year exclusive retail launch and distribution of the brand during which time CW-X also plans to appoint a U.K. distributor to cover all running, outdoor and ski specialty channels.
Deportes Marti will become the exclusive retail partner for the CW-X brand in Mexico. The retailer is the largest sports specialty retailer in the country with over 90 stores, a Web business and a chain of sports fitness clubs. Deportes Marti is also the largest road race organizer and event manager in Mexico.
“Based on our accelerating growth in the U.S. and presence at major marathons and trade shows, more and more consumers and retailers from overseas are demanding CW-X availability in their local markets,” said WSSC president and COO John L.A. Wilson.
“Snow and Rock and Deportes Marti are excellent specialty retailers and leaders in their respective markets. Both are a perfect match for launching and selling the CW-X Conditioning Wear brand.”
