Bellevue, WA, August 4, 202) – Eddie Bauer has registered August 8 with National Day Calendar as Global Sleep Under The Stars Night. In honor of its 100 Year Anniversary, the Seattle-based brand invites everyone to come together in experiencing the beauty of the outdoors by spending the night under the stars.
“Whether you’re in your backyard, a local campsite, or Everest basecamp, the power of getting outside and gazing up at the stars is undeniable,” says Damien Huang, Eddie Bauer President. “It’s our brand’s mission to bring the benefits of the outdoors to everyone. As part of our commitment to this goal, we hope that encouraging people to come together under the same stars is another way to help more folks feel invited, accepted, and included in a shared outdoor experience.”
On August 8, 2020, Eddie Bauer invites you to safely join them in celebrating Sleep Under the Stars Night. Participants are encouraged to set up a tent in their backyard, lay out a sleeping bags on their apartment patio, hang a hammock in the backcountry or get outside however they’re able to. For those who can only join virtually, Eddie Bauer will be hosting a lineup of events and content from its guides, leaders, and community members via their Instagram on August 8.
In 1920, Eddie Bauer, an avid outdoorsman and guide, launched his eponymous brand in a small shop in downtown Seattle. Today the brand celebrates its 100 Year Anniversary and looks forward to the next 100 years of inspiring and enabling all people to experience the outdoors. Sleep Under The Stars Night is one of many initiatives aimed at making the outdoors a more accessible, inclusive, and inviting place for everyone.
