Rawlings has signed a licensing agreement with Katzkin Leather, Inc. for automotive leather interiors. Katzkin plans to introduce a comprehensive vehicle appearance package for the 2007 Chevy Silverado and Tahoe, the Rawlings Edition, available through their network of more than 2000 'restylers' across North America.
The leather seats are made from genuine baseball glove leather, for the look, feel, and even the smell of a real baseball glove. For added visual impact, the leather panels are sewn with a zigzag baseball stitch and the seats are finished off with the famous red embroidered Rawlings(r) patch found on the back of all their gloves.
Two other interior items enhance this baseball-themed package — a wood dash and a wood steering wheel, both with the appearance of baseball bat wood, ash — with the Rawlings logo in black on the passenger side of the dash.
Katzkin is also offering a number of exterior options with the Rawlings Edition, including a pair of chrome badges for each side of the Chevy. On the back, a hitch box cover, featuring the Rawlings red oval, plugs the receiver.The front features a stainless steel grille in a backstop fence pattern.
