Nordstrom, Inc. reported preliminary sales of $622.4 million for the fiscal month ending October 28, 2006, an increase of 11.9% compared to sales of $556.3 million for the four-week period ending October 29, 2005. Same-store sales increased 10.7%.
Preliminary third quarter sales of $1.87 billion increased 12.4% compared to sales of $1.67 billion in 2005. Third quarter same-store sales increased 10.7%.
Preliminary year-to-date sales of $5.93 billion increased 9.3% compared to sales of $5.43 billion in 2005. Year-to-date same-store sales increased 7.2%.

Nordstrom opened its newly relocated store at Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park, Calif., on October 6, 2006. The 213,000 square foot, three-level store features the company's most comprehensive designer offering in the country along with brand new design concepts, amenities and services.
