Craig Feinberg has joined Factory Design Labs as an Art Director in the Creative Department. Originally hailing from Columbia, Maryland, Craig has significant international experience including an 18-month term at Fabrica, the United Colors of Benetton Communications Research and Development Center in Treviso, Italy. His work has been recognized internationally in exhibitions, publications and award programs around the world including Japan, China, England, Italy, France and Germany, as well as the United States.
Most recently, Craig was an Art Director at Diesel Marketing in Montreal, Quebec where he worked on the Suzuki, Dr. Scholls and Aeroplan accounts. Prior to that, Craig was a Graphic Designer at Fabrica and worked on campaigns for a number of international organizations including United Colors of Benetton, Reporters Without Boarders, World Health Organization, Cameroon Wildlife Fund and Warsaw Children’s Hospital.
“From a design standpoint, Craig is amazing, but it was his energy and thought process that sold me,” said Steve Whittier, Factory’s VP/Creative Director. “I think he will really complement our creative department and his experiences in Europe and Japan will be assets as our business continues to expand internationally.”
Craig’s work has been published in COLORS magazine, VORN magazine, FAB magazine, as well as “Fabrica Files” and “Fabrica 10,” a book published by Electra for Fabrica’s 10-year anniversary. Craig will also be featured in the upcoming 2nd Edition of “Graphic Design Now,” slated for release in early 2007 by Taschen Publishing. His awards include the 2004 Reporters Without Boarders Poster Competition in Paris, France and a silver award in the 2004 Design Do! competition sponsored by the International Design Center Nagoya (IDCN) in Nagoya, Japan.
No stranger to public speaking, Craig has also lectured in Italy, England, Germany, Japan, the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Western Michigan University and at the National AIGA Conference on Image, Object and Space, in Denver, Colorado.
“I am excited to grow with Factory and combine my experience with that of the rest of the design team to push ourselves to continually create new and different work,” said Craig of his new role at Factory.
