ASR appointed Andy Tompkins as the new Group Show Director for VNU Expositions ASR Trade Shows. Tompkins will oversee all marketing and sales strategies, industry relationships, and growth opportunities for ASR. ASR is confident that Tompkins' decade of trade show experience promises to fuel the shows success.
Starting April 24th, Tompkins will be taking over as the ASR Group Show Director. He comes to the worlds leading action sports trade show from his position as Show Director for the rapidly growing and highly successful VNU Expositions Outdoor Retailer Winter and Summer Market and Fly-Fishing Retailer World Trade Expos. Tompkins has been with VNU Expositions Sports Group since 1996.
“Ive spent a decade delivering unique business focused trade show environments, while maintaining a commitment to the core audience. Well continue making ASR a place where business is done, while allowing the vibe and culture of the lifestyle to carry over onto the show floor,” says Tompkins. “Looking ahead well also work to further incorporate technology and the global interest in action sports to help ASR exhibitors expand their customer base.”
While at Outdoor Retailer, Tompkins was instrumental in growing the show to record attendance and sales levels.

Tompkins is currently working toward his MBA at the University of California Irvine. He lives in Irvine, CA with his wife Megan. Tompkins is an avid golfer and snowboarder, who competed in the 1987 US Open of Snowboarding at Stratton Mountain.
