Bite Golf has been named the official shoe sponsor of the World Amateur Golf Tournament taking place this August in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. One of Bite Golfs leading retailers, PGA Tour Superstores, is the title sponsor of this prestigious event.

The World Amateur Golf Tournament has been described as the “Mother of All Golf Tournaments” and “The World's Best Amateur Golf Tournament.” All are well-deserved nicknames for the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship. Celebrating its 23rd year this August, the event will attract almost 4,000 players from all 50 states and some 30 foreign countries for fun, friendship, and most importantly, great golf. Amateur golfers will have the chance to not only compete for over $500,000 in prizes, but the honor of being crowned the World Champion of Amateur Golf.
This four-day competition takes place on over 75 of the Myrtle Beach area's championship courses, with each flight winner competing in the Championship Round at the prestigious Dunes Club.
Each evening, contestants and their guests will gather at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center to check the leader boards and enjoy the Taste of Myrtle Beach, which features some of the best restaurants in the area showcasing their specialties. Sponsor exhibits, a golf expo featuring a 40,000 sq. foot SUPERSTORE that is an impressive spectacle for any type of golfer, special clinics, demonstrations, guest appearances, golf games and dancing are all part of the week's festivities.
