With tremendous growth in nearly every product category, SRAM has now established two PR positions in separating MTB and Road. SRAMs new MTB PR Manager is Eric Schutt, who will make the transition from Marketing Events Coordinator in early December. Schutt will take over duties from Michael Zellmann, who moves over to the manage Road and Pavement categories.
Schutt has over eights years experience at SRAM. While he began in SRAMs Dealer Service department, he has spent the last six years in the Marketing department as the Events and Promotion Coordinator. Schutt has been responsible for managing events such as the Sea Otter Classic and Interbike. Schutt is also one of SRAMs resident technical riders with a background in Observed Trials.
“I think this is a tremendous opportunity and I really look forward to continuing SRAMs momentum. We have so many new products in the works and it seems every year is bigger than the last. Planning for 2006 has already begun and I literally have my hands full with our new suspension, drivetrain, and brake componentry,” said Schutt.
David Zimberoff, SRAMs Global Marketing Director said, “We need a dedicated individual for both MTB and Road considering our growth and our most recent product introductions. Eric is really the perfect guy for the MTB position and it was an easy decision. He knows our products, understands our objectives, and has a great history with our company. Michael has a really strong Road background and has jumped into that role without missing a pedal stroke.”
After three years as the lone North American PR & Media Manager, Zellmann will step over to manage all Road and Pavement related PR initiatives as well as continue his advertising and advocacy roles.
“I am really looking forward to this new challenge and our seriously brilliant Road componentry is going to make a significant impact on the market. My goal is to generate a lot of excitement, and thats already starting to happen,” Zellmann said.
