Apparel maker Feller has appointed Ted Irwin as national sales director.

Irwin has a range of experience growing and servicing retail account bases, boosting brand equity and helping retailers earn healthy margins. He formerly worked for K2, Victorinox, Bed:Stu, Keen and Arc’teryx over several decades in key territories, primarily sales.

“It is particularly sweet to find a new brand like Feller positioned to be premium,” Irwin said. “The immediate feedback from potential customers has been super positive, likely because not everyone wants to wear a technical nylon hiking jacket when it rains, and stylish waxed cotton is a superb alternative. Plus, Fellers’ American-made, sophisticated aesthetic can support both outdoor and fashion channels. As challenging as markets can be, we are going to have fun making the Feller brand valuable and relevant, thanks to Wendy Feller’s unique vision.”

Feller is also launching its men’s outerwear collection for delivery in 2019 at the Venture Out area inside the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, as well as Project NY next winter. Similar to the women’s collection, Feller’s all-season, machine-washable men’s line is designed for rain or shine, and has design details like zip-off hoods, two-way zippers and zip-out liners.
