According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played on a national level were down 13.5 percent April 2018 compared to April 2017.
By region, the biggest declines occurred in New England, down 45.6 percent; Mid Atlantic, 37.6 percent; East North Central, 33.3 percent and West North Central, 29.3 percent. Most modest declines were seen in South Atlantic, 3.3 percent. South Central 7.9 percent.
Gains in rounds played were seen in the Pacific region, up 2.6 percent and Mountain, up 7.1 percent. In the year-to-date period, golf rounds played are down 8.9 percent.
