PrimaLoft Insulation Technology has been selected as the insulation of choice for the new American Skiing Company outerwear program that was recently awarded to L.L. Bean.
Beginning this fall, outerwear will be supplied to all on-mountain personnel at all ASC resorts that include Sunday River and Sugarloaf in Maine, Attitash in New Hampshire, Killington, Pico Mountain and Mount Snow in Vermont, The Canyons in Utah, and Steamboat in Colorado.
L.L. Bean product developers and designers worked closely with ASC's staff to develop the ultimate on-mountain uniform. As a result, the L.L. Bean team designed three jackets – one shell and two insulated with different weights of PrimaLoft. Similar versions of the ASC PrimaLoft jackets will be available to L.L. Bean customers this fall as part of the Gore-Tex/PrimaLoft Mountain Pro Series.
“The fact that these two leading companies have chosen PrimaLoft for their new outerwear program is a great testimony to our product's performance,” said Tom Mendl, PrimaLoft Director of Marketing.
“The ASC staff requested the best performance from their outerwear so we had to find the best ingredients to protect them from cold weather working conditions. We chose PrimaLoft for its great properties of being warm, lightweight and water-repellent,” said Greg Houser, V.P. and Merchandising Manager for L.L. Bean outerwear.
