Assistant Marketing Manager, Wilson Racquet Sports (a division of Wilson Sporting Goods)


General Description of Position: Assist in the day to day creation & execution of marketing programs, communication and coordination for the Racquet division of Wilson Sporting Goods. Specific focus & passion for the areas of Tennis Accessories, Tennis Footwear, and Tennis Racket
products is expected.

Position Detail / Expectations:

  • Manage marketing programs executed in the U.S. for Accessories, Footwear, and Performance categories (e.g. Rewards program)
  • Serve as day to day contact person for sales force regarding marketing & product needs in these categories
  • Assist in coordinating with each of the Global Marketing departments for all product launches & updates
  • Develop marketing / sell-thru programs and coordination and execution in these categories
  • Provide direct market feedback, including competitor product information within U.S. market
  • Coordinate marketing information for each category for PR purposes and for any testing or product features
  • Assist with product playtesting & feedback during the development process
  • General product management & coordinator for US Open retail store

Min Qualifications:

  • Competitive level tennis background
  • Marketing experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills – presenting to groups expected
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills
  • Strong computer proficiency required – Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality in working with people at all levels
  • Ability to manage several projects/programs at one time
