’47, a privately held global sports lifestyle brand, announced a partnership with Northeastern University Hockey, effectively immediately and continuing through 2020. The Boston-based brand will provide the official off-ice headwear and apparel for both the Men’s and Women’s hockey teams.
’47 is taking a grassroots approach to connecting with the athletes of tomorrow by providing a premium collection of product designed by athletes, for athletes, focusing on pre- and post-game gear. The partnership with Northeastern University Hockey is part of a continued effort to build relationships with influential teams at the high school and collegiate levels.
’47 has established itself as an on-field partner of other sports organizations, such as the Cape Cod Baseball League, the Area Code Games Championship Showcase, University of New Mexico Baseball and numerous regional high school football and hockey programs.
“We are proud to be outfitting emerging young talent with our premium gear to keep athletes looking good and feeling good outside of game play,” said ’47 co-owner, Steven D’Angelo.
“We’re excited to have ’47 as a great partner supporting our men’s and women’s hockey programs,” said Rich Hutchinson, associate director of corporate partnerships with Northeastern University athletics.
The collection will see a robust product offering that includes ’47’s signature iconic headwear silhouettes such as the ’47 CLEAN UP and ’47 CAPTAIN, and premium apparel options such as the ’47 CLUB tee and ’47 HEADLINE Pullover Hood. Additionally, the brand will create custom product utilizing pieces from the ’47 FORWARD collection, featuring apparel styles that infuse moisture wicking properties and minimize odor.
