Adidas reportedly signed Bulls guard Zach LaVine to an endorsement deal. With incentives, the four-year contract could be worth up to $35 million.
ESPN’s Nick DePaula said Nike had the contractual right to “match” LaVine’s offer, but declined. LaVine wore Nike during his first three seasons.
“I was looking for a partner that would grow with me as my career continues to unfold,” LaVine told ESPN. “Adidas convinced me that I have a chance to legitimately become a face of the brand.”
