Investment bankers Nathan Pund and Robert Farinholt have joined Silver Steep Partners just a few short months after industry veteran, Sally McCoy launched the specialty outdoor and active lifestyle financial advisory firm. Pund and Farinholt, formerly with RBC Capital Markets, bring years of Wall Street experience having advised on transactions together totaling approximately $5 billion during their careers. The team advised Mountain Hardwear on its sale to Columbia Sportswear and assisted Deckers Outdoor in raising approximately $100 million in capital.
“Silver Steep Partners represents the opportunity of a life time,” says Pund. “Joining the firm will enable us to combine our professional knowledge with our passion for the outdoors. Together, we will be able to offer our clients a much more compelling advisory alternative than traditional banking firms do. We will be able to leverage Sallys relationships, operational expertise and deep understanding of the industry with our considerable financial expertise and financial relationsips. ”
Silver Steep Partners represents the first of its kind, providing financial advice regarding mergers, acquisitions and private capital placements exclusively to the specialty outdoor and active lifestyle markets.
McCoy, who has previously held executive level positions at Sierra Designs and The North Face, is excited about the additions noting that, “Nate and Robert are exactly the people Silver Steep needs. I couldnt ask for better partners. Their perspectives and skill sets will enable us to provide a broad array of services relevant to companies ranging from emering brands to industry leaders.”
