Raleigh Electric Teams Up With Bahati Foundation To Support Inner-City Youth

Raleigh Electric is partnering with the Los Angeles-based Bahati Foundation to support underprivileged youth and bring educational programs to kids living in the inner city areas of L.A.

The Simi Valley-based electric bike manufacturer will be donating a 2017 Redux IE ebike that the Bahati Foundation will auction off to support the valuable work it does to motivate and empower the leaders of tomorrow.

“We are very pleased to be able to support the great work that the Bahati Foundation is doing,” said Larry Pizzi, Raleigh Electric’s president. “I admire how Rahsaan has been able to use the bicycle as a tool to bring social equity, and give back to his community.”

The auction is open to all residents in the continental U.S., and the drawing will be held on December 22. All proceeds from the tickets, which start at $20, support the Bahati Foundation’s efforts.

Rahsaan Bahati, a former professional cyclist, now carries the torch in motivating youth in under-served communities – like the one he grew up in. Bahati, his father and a group of volunteers believe deeply in social responsibility, and feel that giving back to their communities is quite simply the right thing to do.

“The opportunity to work in the community that raised me is humbling and rewarding.
