Buck Knives announced that Mike Silverberg has joined the company as vice president of sales and Chris Bourassa has been promoted to director of North American sales.
Silverberg has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, and for the past 18 years has successfully managed Buck’s international sales through an export management group. As vice president of sales, Silverberg will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategy, and leading Buck’s initiatives to increase sales and market share through its vast domestic and global distribution network. He will also be working closely with the marketing team to support promotional efforts and value-added programs for Buck’s authorized dealer network. Silverberg holds a BS in Marketing from University of Northern Colorado and an MBA in international business from University of Denver.
“Mike Silverberg’s excellent leadership has made him well respected among our other sales reps,” said Joe Piedmont, chief operations officer of Buck Knives. “His knowledge of Buck products and his dedication to strategic thinking, effective planning, and excellent execution will be a great addition as we continue the forward growth for the company.”
Bourassa, an 11 year veteran of the industry, has been with Buck Knives for five years as national sales manager. Prior to joining Buck Knives, Bourassa spent time with Sportsman’s Warehouse and served as a national account manager for a leading camp furniture brand.
Bourassa will be responsible for managing and executing the sales directives for Buck’s product lines in the U.S and Canada. As Director of North American Sales, Bourassa will work directly with the sales force and marketing team to enhance key customer relationships and facilitate new opportunities. He will continue his critical role in developing strategic sales and promotional plans, managing the internal sales departments and customer service. Bourassa holds a BS in Marketing from University of Montana.
“Chris is a consummate strategist with a passion for planning and execution,” said Piedmont. “This promotion is very well deserved, as he is a great driving force for our organization.”
