The school’s athletic department said the $128 million extension between Nebraska and Adidas was announced as a proposed deal a week ago. It was approved by Nebraska’s Board of Regents Friday afternoon. The last extension between Nebraska and Adidas was approved in 2013, and was set to expire in 2018.
Tim Clare, Chairman of the Regents, tweeted Friday that the deal with Adidas is valued at $128,659,000.
The school indicated that the deal will also bring out the alternate uniforms Adidas created for Nebraska, which pay homage to the 1997 Huskers team that won the national championship.
