Runner’s World has named the Saucony Grid Jazz X running shoe “Best Buy” in the magazine’s March 2005 “Shoe Buyer’s Guide.” The Jazz, originally introduced in 1981, is the most popular shoe in Saucony’s history.

“Thanks to a number of improvements, we think the Grid Jazz X is one great buy,” said the Runner’s World editors. “Women will especially enjoy the snug, supportive heel fit, coupled with the roomy forefoot. The Grid Jazz X is recommended for runners who miss that special fit and feel of the old Jazz, and want a soft ride at a good value. The shoe won ‘softest cushioning’ of all current … shoes (in its category) when tested at the Runner’s World Shoe Lab.”

“The entire team at Saucony is extremely proud of this recognition from Runner’s World,”
said Tom Carleo, vice president of marketing for Saucony. “Saucony’s most famous and successful model has been the Jazz. We are thrilled to have this tenth rendition recognized as a great running shoe by those it was designed for-runners,” he added.
