According to a securities filing, Kohl’s announced that Paul Gaffney, the company’s chief technology and supply chain officer, will depart on August 1.
Siobhan McFeeney, who has been with Kohl’s since January 2020 as, most recently, executive vice president, technology division, will immediately step into the chief technology role.
In the 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kohl’s gave no reason for Gaffney’s departure, which came about two weeks after the retailer announced it was terminating talks to sell the business, saying the retail environment had significantly deteriorated since the beginning of what turned into a months-long bidding process.
Gaffney joined Kohl’s as EVP and chief technology officer in September 2019. He had most recently served as chief technology officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods.
