Kammok, the climbing company, said the company’s CEO, Haley Robison, has been named one of the Top Conscious Business Leaders of 2018 by the quarterly print magazine Conscious.

Robison was named to the Personal Journey list. Approximately 100 business leaders were nominated, and just 21 were selected for this honor based on the depth of their personal transformations as leaders, the conscious workplaces they create and the positive global impact of their businesses and ideas.

According to Conscious company, Robison is one of the youngest female CEOs in the outdoor industry. She is also head of a B Corp whose mission is to “equip and inspire others for life-changing adventure.” After three years as a consultant at Bain & Co., she went on to add more meaning to her career by completing a year-long theology program, a semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School and a joint MBA and Master’s in education from Stanford. She joined Kammok as COO in 2015 and became CEO in 2016. At Kammok, she has created a culture that walks the talk when it comes to making room for adventure.

“The nomination talked about how she is really good at inspiring unity among people,” said Diana Chapman of the Conscious Leadership Group, and one of the judges for the Top Conscious Business Leaders. “That speaks to her inner work. I also like that she’s very involved in her local community.”

When asked what lessons she has learned through her journey, Robinson offered, “If you are forging new paths, mistakes and failures are inevitable. People will rally to problem-solve with you if they are treated with respect and compassion. There is no substitute for integrity and humility.”
