Zamst, a leader in high-performance sports injury prevention and protective equipment, announced their renewed partnership with U.S. Mountaineer, Melissa Arnot Reid.
A passionate seeker of adventure and a competitive athlete, Arnot Reid has been working as a mountain guide since 2004. Arnot Reid is most notably known for summiting Mount Everest six times, more than any other American woman in history. She is also the first American woman to successfully summit and descend Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen, a challenge that less than 200 people have accomplished.
Zamst has supported Melissa Arnot Reid in her alpine endeavors since 2013.
“We are proud to continue to support Melissa by helping her stay healthy as she takes on her next challenge,” said Lauren Fifield, Zamst U.S., marketing director. “We are honored to work with a world-class athlete like, Melissa who also gives so much back to the community via her Juniper Fund initiative, corporate speaking and mountain mentorships. Zamst’s sports bracing and support products provide a superior level of protection and injury prevention and our partnership with Melissa has allowed us to demonstrate first-hand the importance of these products to the outdoor adventure community.”
As an avid mountaineer, Melissa Arnot Reid, has consistently relied on Zamst’s injury prevention and support solutions throughout her career. Her go-to products include Zamst’s LC-1 and award winning Filmista Ankle. The LC-1, compression calf sleeve, has helped Arnot Reid optimize her recovery by improving circulation, enhancing blood and oxygen flow to muscles, aiding with flushing out lactic acid, and improving overall performance. Having a history of ankle injuries, Arnot Reid also strongly relies on the Filmista Ankle brace, providing a unique combination of a superlight, variable compression support and a second skin feel, ultimately simulating the taping process. In training, she wears the Filmista Ankle while running and during expeditions she brings the ankle brace with her because it is an extremely lightweight and a packable support piece she can trust if the need arises.
“Behind every great athlete stands an incredible support team,” said Arnot Reid. “I feel lucky to have the most generous and caring sponsors, like Zamst, who have played a major role in my career. When I am dealing with an injury or just need extra support while navigating uneven terrain, I feel confident wearing Zamst’s products because I know each item is carefully crafted and tailored for athletes. This is why I have come to rely on Zamst products when I am actively pursuing my goals.”
Melissa Arnot Reid is part of the Zamst Elite Team of leading professional athletes that includes Von Miller, Ryan Getzlaf, Scott Langley and Amy Cragg, among others.
