Charles Aides, SVP – Apparel Manufacturing and Sourcing, at Woolrich announced the formation of a new division that will be responsible for developing and growing Woolrich's government business through research and development to bring new products to the military market in form, fit and function.

Bill Lilley has been named Director of Government Contracting and will head up this unit. He is a 30-year Woolrich veteran, having joined Woolrich as a standards engineer in 1975. Bill has since been manager, superintendent and general manager of Woolrich’s Pennsylvania apparel operations.

Reporting to Lilley will be Joyce Raesner who has been named Contract Administrator. Using her paralegal degree, Raesner joined Woolrich as an administrative assistant and was promoted to administrative specialist, the position she held prior to assuming her new role.

Also reporting to Lilley will be Eileen Dougherty who will assume the position of Program Administrator. She will be responsible for all programs and the technical aspects of their development. Dougherty will also serve as a Field Instructor for the new division.

Marilyn Dawson has been named Government Contract Liaison. Dawson rejoined Woolrich for her second stint with the firm in February 2005. She will be responsible for assisting in the development and acquisition of government apparel contracting opportunities.

In making the announcement, Aides said, “To form this division in our 175th anniversary year is special to all of us affiliated with Woolrich. Having a long history of government procurement dating back to the Civil War is a legacy unmatched in the apparel industry. We entered government procurement in the summer of 2002 and have continued to expand that activity to a point where it was obvious the new division should be formed.”
