Core Action Sports, based in Denver, has launched a action sports
website for women. Co-founders and sisters Courtney and Lisa Pugh are
former competitive freestyle skiers, and life-long action sports’
enthusiasts…

The site, Coreactionsports.com, will feature well-known brands such as
Salomon, Vans, and Roxy as well as lesser-known ones such as Few, Girl
Rider, Truth and Hoven. The store currently carries more than 25 brands
and will add approximately 20 additional brands for Fall/Winter 2007.

“Finding products that worked well technically and looked good became
our mission. We are psyched to be able to turn our mission into the
perfect one-stop shop for today’s women.” said owner Courtney Pugh, “We
are totally committed to promoting women’s action sports and to
offering girls everything they need get out there and ride in style!”

The site includes news and information on action sports’ and fashion
events, competition results, camps and places to get your ride on,
weather & snow/surf reports, athlete profiles, interviews with
designers, workouts, and blogs to get the scoop on the latest in
women’s action sports.  Every product page includes suggestions on
complimentary “this looks hot with” items and “girlfriend” reviews that
give candid feedback on the fit, look and function of the product.
Other features include “Core Girls Top Picks”, “Adrenaline Addicts”
“Fashion Divas” “Core’s Information Spot”, and “Core Community”.
Portions of proceeds will be donated to both environmental and action
sports’ foundations.

“In many ways, this is a superior, more interactive shopping
experience,” says co-founder Lisa Pugh, “Women want candid and
objective feedback about their clothing choices and we’re able to do
that through our ‘ask-a-girlfriend’ feature.” The feature gives
shoppers very honest information on, for example, the best body-type
for the product, if the sizes run true-to-size, and details about the
product’s feel, cut and fit.
