A 40-foot long semi-trailer full of footwear was stolen from Wolverine World Wide's distribution center in Howard City, MI. According to the Grand Rapids Press, the police suspect that thieves might have used their own semi-truck to steal the trailer between 3:00 am and 7:00 am Monday morning, August 24. The trailer had the company name and logo on its side.


No suspects have been identified. Because the site is a U.S. foreign trade zone, U.S. Customs is helping with the investigation. If the thief is caught, they could face penalties of up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.


Wolverine World Wide has declined to comment on the incident.
