Wolverine World Wide named Seth Cobb as VP and general manager of Merrell and Chip Coe as VP and general manager of Chaco.  Both positions are effective immediately.


Cobb, a 15-year Merrell veteran and a past SGB 40 Under 40 honoree, most recently served as general manager of the Merrell US business. In his new job, he will be responsible for driving the Merrell business strategy and growth initiatives on a global basis, and he will retain direct responsibility for the Merrell U.S. business. 


“Seth is just an excellent people developer,” said Jim Zwiers, president of the WWW Outdoor Group, in an interview with Sports Executive Weekly. “He has a strong sense and a passion for the Merrell brand a great vision for the future.”


Coe joined Wolverine in July 2010 as VP of licensing and accessories. Before  that, Coe was president and CEO at Teko Socks and before that he was president and COO at Smartwool.   He will be responsible for driving Chaco's growth on a global basis.


“Chip is recognized in the industry for brand building and product innovation and will align our product, marketing and distribution as we pursue the bright future for Chaco,” said Zwiers.
