Wolverine World Wide Inc. named Michael F. McBreen as president of the company's global operations group. McBreen most recently served as the vice president of supply chain and logistics for Furniture Brands International Inc., a home furnishings business.
The company noted that in this new role, McBreen would be in charge for all supply chain operations for it, including sourcing, manufacturing, distribution and logistics.
McBreen, age 43, was most recently the Vice President, Supply Chain and Logistics for Furniture Brands International, Inc., a $2.1 billion leading home furnishings business with 10 highly recognizable brand names, including Broyhill, Thomasville, Lane, Drexel Heritage and Henredon. While at Furniture Brands International, he developed and initiated programs to integrate domestic and international sourcing, manufacturing and distribution/logistics operations across all brands into a single organization to enhance operational performance and financial results. Additionally, he created the company's Asian design and commercial center to support product development, sourcing, production, quality management and supply planning. McBreen spent a significant portion of his career with Nike, Inc., the leading global marketer of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories. While at Nike, he held several senior positions, including Director – Global Supply Chain Operations and Director – Global Apparel Operations. He led the team responsible for the sourcing operations of Nike's apparel business, and was also responsible for integrating the supply chain operations of several acquisitions, including Hurley, Cole Haan and Bauer Nike Hockey.
