WNBA Washington Mystics Guard Nikki Blue has joined fellow WNBA star Tully Bevilaqua to launch a new shoe by Nfinity that female basketball players the first opportunity to play in a shoe made for them.

Blue is also the assistant coach for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in the off-season. Blue was All-American at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and upon graduation she was in the all-time top five for points, steals, and assists.  She has signed a deal with Nfinity to wear the shoe and help launch brand into women’s basketball.

“With her budding career in the WNBA and all that she does off the court for women’s basketball, we think Nikki will be a great fit for our brand,” stated Tate Chalk, CEO of Nfinity. “Along with her Mystics’ fans, she also has a strong following in California from her days at UCLA, as well as fans in Nevada from her coaching at UNLV. We’re confident her fan base will be a strong asset to us in the shoe’s inaugural year,” added Chalk.

“I am very excited to join the Nfinity team. After trying out the Nfinity shoes, it was clear that they had something great going and it was something that I wanted to be a part of,” said Blue. “They are light weight, very comfortable and they allow my feet to breathe which prevents blisters. I also like the grip on the bottom and the ankle support.  I am happy that a brand is doing something specifically for the female basketball player.”

The Nfinity Basketball Shoe will be available to the public this August.
