In conjunction with the
recent news of its Silver Sponsorship of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge, Winchester Ammunition has also
announced its generous allocation of 600,000 rounds of ammunition specifically
earmarked for the Ammo Roundup Program.

The Ammo Roundup Program is an integral component of the nationwide
Rimfire Challenge program. It serves as a fulfillment
center for match directors purchasing ammunition for their events, thereby
ensuring competitors have a reliable source of ammunition.

“We are thoroughly
committed to assisting individuals who are new to shooting and look forward to
watching them grow as part of this industry,” said Vice President of
Marketing, Sales and Strategy for Winchester Ammunition Brett Flaughr.
“The Rimfire Challenge, among other NSSF initiatives, is a great
opportunity to get more involved in supporting the shooting sports, as it
allows participants a friendly, first-time experience with target
competition.”

 “The generous
contribution by Winchester Ammunition is one that all Rimfire Challenge affiliates
are extremely thankful for,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager of Shooting
Promotions Zack Snow.   “This allocation to the Ammo Roundup
program will help increase the number of ranges hosting events, as well as
event participation. This, in my eyes, is integral to strengthening the future
of competitive shooting sports, while ensuring that we don't lose the new
shooter market to other non-shooting recreational activities.”

The Rimfire Challenge is a
program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for
the firearms, ammunition, hunting, and shooting sports industry. The program
was developed to introduce newcomers to competition target shooting by
providing individuals and families with a safe, fun, and exciting first-time
experience using .22-caliber handguns and rifles on steel targets. Formerly
known as the Ruger Rimfire Challenge, the NSSF assumed administrative
responsibilities for the fast-growing program in 2014.
