The Australian Baseball Federation (ABF) has signed a sponsorship agreement with Wilson.

Under the terms of the deal, Wilson becomes the official ball of the ABF and the official glove and ball of Aussie T-Ball, a youth participation programme run in conjunction with North America’s Major League Baseball (MLB).

ABF chief executive Brett Pickett said: “The Australian baseball community purchase hundreds of thousands of baseballs every year, so it is great to have Wilson recognise the tangible opportunities that being a partner of the Australian Baseball Federation can provide.”

Graham Maher, commercial manager of Wilson Australia, added: “This decision is a natural one for Wilson as we have a long and established history in baseball and in partnering with the ABF we have the opportunity to directly work with those associated with growing the game while also allowing us to better connect with our grass roots customers and everyone involved in baseball in Australia.”

Financial and durational terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
