Wildwood Ventures, the venture studio and an early-stage investor backed by VF Corporation added the consumer app Chimani to its portfolio, created to help consumers maximize their experience at national state parks in the U.S.
Wildwood focuses its investments on outdoor and wellness space brands.
The company, founded this past spring, launched with three early-stage companies, including Out & Back, Kinsa Active and Roots. In addition to the new portfolio company, Wildwood has also added three new members to its advisory board:
- Kevin Bailey, global brand president, Vans
- Melanie Strong, partner, Next Ventures
- Cassie Abel, founder, Wild Rye
“We’re thrilled to have Cassie, Melanie and Kevin join us. We’re confident their addition will accelerate our ability to serve founders well, build high-impact tech companies, and build a valuable portfolio for our investors,” said Jesse Marble, founder and partner of Wildwood Ventures.
