The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI*) elected three new board members “who will bolster the cycling industry and the manufacturer’s representation on the global sporting goods federation board,” said the organization.

The organization also said “the input of these members will shape WFSGI activities as it seeks to help the industry capitalize on the bike boom and work in partnership to address current supply chain and manufacturing issues.”

New board members are:

  • Ton Anbeek, CEO, Accell Group
  • Tony Grimaldi, CEO, Cycleurope and President of Cycling Industries Europe (CIE)
  • Ivan Lee, VP Supply Chain Management, Apache Footwear, replacing Simon Cheng, VP, Apache Footwear

*WFSGI was founded in 1978 and is the world authoritative body for the sports industry officially recognized by the IOC as the industry representative within the Olympic Family. The WFSGI is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental association formed by sports brands, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, national federations, and other sporting goods industry-related businesses.
