The WFSGI has appointed a new member for its Committee on International Sports Organization (CISO), Yutaka Sasai, Marketing Manager of Asics, and a member of the WFSGI.


Sasai is leading the Marketing Division of Asics. Up to now, Asics is the fifth largest brand in the sports shoe market worldwide, and a whole lot of subsidiaries covering the four corners of the world. Mr. Yutaka Sasai started working for Asics in 1973 and was previously active as General Manager for the Promotion Division and also secretary for Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka. He has attended 8 Summer Olympic Games since Moscow (1980) where he takes care of athletes and the teams under contract with Asics and also manages the marketing plan using Olympic facts. He also worked for the Japan Association of Athletics Federations where he was member of International Affairs Committee.


He is now joining the WFSGI CISO Committee to offer his great knowledge in marketing and his experience in relation with international sports federations. “We are really glad to welcome Mr. Yutaka Sasai in our committee as he will complete our team composed of the biggest sports brands” says Marius Rovers, Sport 2000 International and Chairman of the WFSGI CISO Committee. “He will contribute to the main objective of the committee : to represent the industry consensus voice to all sports federations and organizations, by promoting maximum and equal benefit to all WFSGI members and the sporting goods manufacturers’ community at large.”
