The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry has elected its Board of Directors to new terms. Michel Perraudin, EVP and Executive Board member of adidas-Salomon, was elected as president of the trade association at the organization’s recent General Assembly held during the ISPO trade fair. He will serve a three-year term, replacing Masato Mizuno, chairman of Mizuno Corporation.
John Riddle, president and CEO of SGMA, will continue to represent the Americas, while Mizuno will represent Asia and Klaus Uhl, acting president of FESI, will represent Europe and act as treasurer.

Bob Corliss, president and CEO of The Athlete’s Foot, Raul Hacker, of Speedo Brazil, John Larson, president emeritus of New Balance, Ian Todd, VP Global Sports for Nike, and Alan Viskers, GM of Reebok Europe, were all elected to three-year terms to the General Assembly to represent the Americas. Jean-Claude Fauvet of Lacoste and Hirst Widman from Puma join Stephen Rubin of Pentlad Group and Giancarlo Zannata of Tecnica in representing Europe.

WFSGI was first formed in 1978 and is positioned as “the world governing body for all the global challenges facing the Sports Industry”.
