Wenonah Canoe Inc. has promoted Mike Looman to North American sales manager for specialty markets effective  Aug. 1, 2015.

Looman will oversee sales for all of Wenonah Canoe’s brands including, Wenonah Canoe, C4 Waterman, Current Designs Kayaks and QCC Kayaks. 

Looman joined Wenonah Canoe in 2003 in Wenonah’s canoe vacuum bagging operation.  In less than a year, he was promoted to his current position, global logistics & warehouse manager.  Starting in 2006, Looman joined Wenonah’s trade show teams participating in both consumer and business-to-business events.  For the past several years, he has been given full leadership in planning and execution of North American trade shows. 

Along this path, Looman took full advantage of the company’s program to fund employee paddling education and training.  To date, Looman’s American Canoe Association (ACA) credentials are:  ACA Level 3, Coastal Kayaking and ACA Level 2, Essentials of Stand Up Paddleboarding.  Looman also brings over three years specialty retail sales management experience from a local Winona, MN brick and mortar enterprise. 

Looman will be based out of the Wenonah corporate headquarters located in Winona, MN where he lives with his wife and two children.  The North American sales force and Winona-based customer and consumer service groups will report directly to Looman and Looman will report directly to Wenonah Canoe’s Vice President Bill Kueper.
