Warrior Sports, a division of New Balance, has acquired Made In America Sports, a manufacturer of hockey gloves, sports bags, pant covers and accessories. MIA Sports, which is based in Montreal, Quebec, has approximately 23 employees, which are all expected to stay with the company. Warrior, which was acquired by New Balance in 2004, entered the hockey market in 2005 and acquired Innovative Hockey in July of that year.
The first Warrior branded products are expected to debut for the 2008 hockey season.
