The Wacoal Sports Science Corp. has appointed Oleg Shikverg, 32, Western Sales Director. Shikverg will expand CW-X's distribution, consumer brand awareness, and overall business in the western part of the U.S.
Shikverg joins WSSC from adidas/Salomon A.G. in Portland, Ore., where he was most recently adidas Apparel Sales Rep for metropolitan New York. Prior to that, he held sales and marketing positions at Spyder Skiwear, Morrow Snowboards, and Dean Bicycles.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, and a graduate degree in Analysis and Design of Enterprise Information Systems from Columbia University.
“Oleg is responsible for managing our western sales force to drive distribution in targeted channels in the Western U.S.,” said John L.A. Wilson, executive vice president.
“We feel he will be a great asset to the company given his extensive experience in running, snow sports, and bike — all of which are target categories for the CW-X brand.”
Shikverg is an accomplished skier, having competed on the University of Colorado Ski Team, as well as an avid snowboarder. He plans to compete on the U.S. Amateur Snowboard Association Half Pipe tour this winter. He has a passion for cycling, is an avid tennis player, and is fluent in Russian.
Shikverg, who is celebrating his second anniversary with his wife, Kimberly, plans to relocate to the Denver area.
