Waboba USA has named Jordan Sullivan as director of marketing and sales manager.

Sullivan will work with National Sales Director, Buck Bowers, to coordinate the international group of sales representatives and distributors while working with public relations agency, PR Power to communicate via newsletters and press releases and to generate information about special events and promotions. She began work with the parent company last year, handling social media and was brought on board corporately beginning second quarter 2012.

“We were very pleased with Jordan's work and wanted to better utilize her skills and enthusiasm for the brand,” says Dale Marx, President of Waboba USA. “She is immersed in Waboba and definitely relates to the customer base–which spans young children and teens to families.”

Establishing the International Waboba Federation, a league for competitive play, is also part of Sullivan's charge, as well as expanding the Waboba brand's reach into fitness and sports training venues, beyond its current sales in surf, sporting goods and toy stores. She recently worked with a physical education teacher from the UK to launch a Waboba “Bounce Ahead!” program for PE teachers that will be rolled out in the coming year.

“Waboba is becoming a lifestyle –a brand that people are coming to recognize as all about fun!” says Sullivan, “What better job could I have than selling fun?!”

Waboba's parent company, headquartered in Sweden, with offices in China and distributors world-wide, opened the US division over three years ago, vastly expanding its sales and distribution and enthusiasm for the line of watersports games and toys. The company was built upon the original Waboba ball that bounces on water, but the line was soon expanded to include land-based games like the Flyer, a feathered racquet, hand or foot-played game, the Street, a lively bouncing ball for hard surface play and the TOSY® AFO (Alien Flying Object) which whizzed through the air and toy stores over the past year. The brand will continue to grow as more items are added to the line.

Waboba is currently distributed in Scandinavia, Europe, Asia, South and Central America and throughout North America, including Canada and the Caribbean. Its products have been featured on ABC Evening News, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Discovery Channel Canada and Late Night with David Letterman. The TOSY AFO was also honored with a “Best Toy Award” from Good Housekeeping.
