Vivobarefoot is converting its flagship store in Covent Garden to what it's calling the first worldwide 'barefoot concept store.' The Vivobarefoot Experience opens on Sept. 15.

The store, at 64 Neal Street, is already a shoe shop, but the new launch will, it says here, 'transform a shoe shop into a full interactive experience'. Consumers will be able to learn about the pluses of going barefoot on iPad and arrange a consultation with a barefoot consultant in the Vivobarefoot Training Clinic.

These consultants have been trained by Lee Saxby, an internationally-known barefoot running coach, and author of eBook 'Proprioception: Making  Sense of Barefoot Running. The clinics will use state-of-the-art equipment to make the in-store clinincs possible and all trainers will have completed a minimum five-day coaching course.

The first 64 barefoot visitors to the shop will receive a free pair of Vivobarefoot shoes.
