Vista Outdoor Inc., a global designer, manufacturer and marketer of consumer products in the outdoor sports and recreation markets, named Jennifer G. Anderson as vice president and treasurer, effective April 1, 2017.
Anderson will assume the responsibility from the company’s current Vice President, Controller and Treasurer Thomas G. Sexton, who has announced his intention to retire at the end of the company’s fiscal year 2018 first quarter after a 31-year career.
Anderson will have responsibility for all aspects of treasury operations, including financings, cash and investment management, risk management, derivatives and real estate and equipment leases.
“I have worked with Jennifer for a number of years and am impressed with her deep knowledge and experience in finance and treasury, her strategic leadership and results-oriented decision making skills,” said CFO Stephen Nolan. “I look forward to working with her in this new capacity as she expands her responsibilities and oversight.”
Anderson has served as vice president and assistant treasurer for Vista Outdoor since 2015. Prior to the spinoff, she was the assistant treasurer (2009/15), the director of treasury (2005/09) and the director of financial reporting (2001/05) for Alliant Techsystems Inc. Anderson was a manager for assurance and advisory services for Deloitte & Touche LLP from 1995 to 2001.
She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and is a Certified Risk Management Professional.
